Prevention is the key!
Frequent inspection: Regardless of whether the improved parts have been replaced or not, open the hood at regular intervals to check for any signs of leakage around the water pipe joints and filter base. Especially for original factory owners who are approaching or exceeding 40000 kilometers, be sure to keep a close eye on them! Just replace it: choose improved water pipes and identify the key upgrade point of "aluminum alloy joints"!
Be sure to choose big brands and legitimate channels. Don't take advantage and lose big for small gains! Nowadays, there is a mix of good and bad products in the market, and fake and inferior goods can be found without negotiation. I have seen many of them before. Don't compromise on coolant: always use BMW certified or equivalent standard coolant! Poor quality coolant can corrode rubber parts and accelerate the aging of water pipes, which is not worth the loss.
Water temperature program (advanced item): Some experts will use the program to lower the working water temperature slightly (such as to over 90 degrees), which is helpful in extending the life of cooling system components. But there are risks involved in this, so it's important to find highly reliable and technically skilled shop owners to operate it. Don't mess around and it will be even more frustrating if other problems are found.
