We know about the problem of water pipe bursting in the BMW B48 engine, and the problem lies in the joint on the cylinder head side of the water pipe. Due to its plastic material and the fact that the engine operates under certain conditions, the vacuum regulating valve closes, preventing coolant from flowing to the cylinder head and causing local high temperatures in the cylinder head. This leads to premature aging and damage of the water pipe joint.

If you want to replace the entire water pipe, you still need to find a repair shop. If it's just about replacing the aluminum alloy joint, some car owners can handle it themselves, with only two bolts on two Mickey Mouse ears that can be removed. There are several points to note: 1. There may be a small amount of antifreeze flowing out, which is normal and there is no need to worry. 2. To disassemble, check if the original joint is broken and clean the interface on the cylinder head side. 3. Due to the fact that the fastening iron rings of BMW's original water pipes and joints are disposable and cannot be loosened, the joints can only be forcefully flattened to remove them. Be careful not to get debris too deep into the pipes, and clean the water pipe ends after removing the joints.
